Cheerz is a social app for sharing posts, reels, stories, messages, and profile updates. This Privacy Policy explains what information Cheerz collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

- Account information such as email address, username, display name, password authentication status, and profile details.

- User content such as profile photos, posts, reels, stories, captions, comments, likes, saved items, and messages.

- Media selected or captured by you, including photos, videos, and audio when you create reels, stories, posts, or profile content.

- Social activity such as follows, follow requests, blocked or restricted users, notifications, and interaction history.

- Device and app information such as push notification tokens, app version, crash diagnostics, and basic technical logs.

Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Videos

Cheerz requests camera, microphone, photo, and video permissions only so users can create and upload content such as posts, reels, stories, and profile pictures. We do not access your camera, microphone, photos, or videos unless you choose to use these features or grant permission.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

- Create and manage user accounts.

- Provide social features including feeds, profiles, stories, reels, posts, messaging, follows, notifications, and privacy controls.

- Store and display content that users choose to publish or share.

- Send account, activity, and push notifications.

- Improve safety, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain app reliability.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run Cheerz, including cloud database, storage, authentication, email, analytics, and push notification providers. These providers process information only to support app functionality.

Cheerz currently uses services such as Supabase for backend, database, authentication, and storage, and Firebase for push notifications and mobile app services.

Public and Private Content

Public account content may be visible to other users. Private account content is limited according to Cheerz privacy and follow settings. Messages are shown to conversation participants, subject to messaging privacy and safety controls.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep account information and user content for as long as needed to provide Cheerz, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce safety rules. Users may request account deletion from within the app settings or by contacting us at the email below.

Children

Cheerz is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
